Abstract ABSTRACT Low Back Pain (LBP) is a musculoskeletal disorder frequently experienced by workers who perform strenuous physical activities using non-ergonomic work postures. Oil palm harvesters are at high risk of developing LBP due to manual work activities such as bending, lifting loads, and working in repetitive postures. This study aimed to determine the relationship between work posture and Low Back Pain (LBP) complaints among oil palm harvesters using the Rapid Entire Body Assessment (REBA) method in Rantau Sakti Village, North Tambusai District, Rokan Hulu Regency, in 2026. This study employed a quantitative design with a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of all oil palm harvesters, with a sample size of 78 respondents. Data on work posture were obtained through observation using the REBA method, while data on LBP complaints were collected using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) questionnaire. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate methods, specifically the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The results showed that 42 respondents (53.8%) exhibited risky work postures, and 44 respondents (56.4%) experienced Low Back Pain (LBP) complaints. The Chi-Square test yielded a p-value of 0.008 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant relationship between work posture and Low Back Pain (LBP) complaints among oil palm harvesters in Rantau Sakti Village, North Tambusai District, Rokan Hulu Regency, in 2026. The study concluded that there is a significant relationship between work posture and Low Back Pain (LBP) complaints. It is recommended that workers adopt ergonomic work postures, perform stretching exercises before and after work, and utilize break times effectively to reduce the risk of Low Back Pain (LBP).
