| Abstract | Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) is a disorder of the median nerve in the wrist that can be caused by repetitive work activities and long work durations. This study aimed to determine the relationship between work duration and repetitive activities and the risk of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) among laundry workers in Deli Tua District, Deli Serdang Regency, in 2026. This study employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The study sample consisted of 31 laundry workers selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected via questionnaires and analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The results showed a significant relationship between work duration and the risk of CTS (p = 0.007), as well as between repetitive activities and the risk of CTS (p = 0.000). The majority of respondents (71.0%) had long work durations, performed high-level repetitive activities, and were at risk of developing CTS. In conclusion, work duration and repetitive activities are significantly associated with the risk of Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) among laundry workers. Adjustments to working hours and break times are needed to reduce the risk of CTS. Keywords: Work Duration, Repetitive Activities, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS), Laundry Workers. | 1 |
