| Abstract | Medical equipment logistics procurement is one of the essential components in supporting the continuity and effectiveness of healthcare services in the specialized units (Operating room, Intensive care unit, Neonatus Intensive care unit). The availability of medical equipment in the right type, quantity, quality, and at the right time plays a crucial role in ensuring successful medical services. This study aimed to determine the impact of constraints in medical equipment logistics procurement on services in the specialized units of Sembiring General Hospital in 2026. This study used a quantitative research method with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of all healthcare workers and staff involved in the use and management of medical equipment in the specialized units of Sembiring General Hospital. The sampling technique used total sampling, involving 86 respondents. Data were collected using a questionnaire, while data analysis was conducted through univariate and bivariate analyses using the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05).The results showed that planning factors (p = <0.001), budget availability (p = <0.001), vendor/supplier performance (p = 0.001), information systems (p = <0.001), and human resources (p = <0.001) had significant relationships with constraints in medical equipment logistics procurement affecting services in the spesial room of Sembiring General Hospital..The study concludes show that planning, budget availability, vendor/supplier performance, information systems, and human resources were influence factors in constraints medical equipment logistics procurement in the specialized units of Sembiring General Hospital. Therefore, improvements in interdepartmental coordination, more accurate needs planning, strengthening of logistics information systems, and periodic evaluation of vendor performance are necessary to ensure the availability of medical equipment and enhance the quality of healthcare services in the specialized units. | 1 |
