| Abstract | Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem characterized by impaired linear growth due to prolonged nutritional deficiency and remains a major public health issue in Indonesia. This study aimed to determine the factors associated with the incidence of stunting among infants aged 6–24 months at Sembiring General Hospital Deli Tua in 2026. This research employed a quantitative method with an observational analytic design using a cross-sectional approach. The study population consisted of 108 respondents, with a sample of 52 respondents selected using the Slovin formula. Data were analyzed using univariate and bivariate analyses with the Chi-Square test at a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The results showed that 28 infants (53.8%) were stunted, while 24 infants (46.2%) were not stunted. The Chi-Square test revealed significant associations between maternal nutritional status during pregnancy (p=0.002), exclusive breastfeeding history (p=0.001), food intake (p=0.001), birth weight (p=0.002), birth length (p=0.001), and history of infectious diseases (p=0.001) with the incidence of stunting among infants aged 6–24 months. It can be concluded that maternal nutritional status during pregnancy, exclusive breastfeeding history, food intake, birth weight, birth length, and history of infectious diseases are factors associated with the incidence of stunting among infants aged 6–24 months at Sembiring General Hospital Deli Tua in 2026. | 1 |
