| Abstract | ABSTRACT Background: Patient loyalty is a strategic asset for hospitals, particularly in super-specific supporting units like the Radiotherapy Unit, which serves chronic patients requiring long-term therapy schedules. One non-medical factor strongly suspected to influence loyalty is the speed of administrative services during registration and verification of insurance documents. Objective: This research aimed to determine the effect of administrative service speed on the loyalty of radiotherapy patients at Grandmed Hospital Lubuk Pakam in 2026. Methods: This research used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The study was conducted at the Radiotherapy Unit of Grandmed Hospital Lubuk Pakam in 2026. The research population encompassed all patients undergoing treatment in the radiotherapy unit, with a total sample size of 89 respondents selected via the accidental sampling technique. Data collection was performed by distributing questionnaires, while data analysis applied the Chi-Square statistical test (o = 0.05). Results: The univariate analysis indicated that the majority of respondents perceive the speed of administrative services as slow, accounting for 52 individuals (58.4%), and the majority of respondents exhibit a low level of loyalty (not loyal), totaling 55 individuals (61.8%). The bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test yields a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05). Out of 37 respondents who state that the administrative service is fast, 24 individuals (64.9%) demonstrate loyalty. Conversely, out of 52 respondents who state that the administrative service is slow, 42 individuals (80.8%) demonstrate a lack of loyalty. Conclusion: This research concluded that there is a significant effect of administrative service speed on the loyalty of radiotherapy patients at Grandmed Hospital Lubuk Pakam in 2026. Reccomendation: the management of Grandmed Hospital optimize the efficiency of the Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) to accelerate the verification process for guarantor documents and reduce patient queue waiting times. | 1 |
