| Abstract | Low back pain is one of the musculoskeletal disorders commonly experienced by office workers due to static working positions, especially non-ergonomic sitting positions and prolonged sitting duration. Administrative office staff have a high risk of experiencing low back pain because most work activities are performed using computers in a sitting position during working hours. This study aimed to determine the relationship between sitting position and sitting duration with low back pain complaints among administrative office staff at PTPN IV Regional II Dolok Ilir in 2026. This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 42 employees, and the sampling technique used was total sampling, so all population members were included as respondents. Data were collected using questionnaires and observation sheets. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level (α=0.05). The results showed that most respondents had non-ergonomic sitting positions, accounting for 26 respondents (61.9%), sitting duration of >6 hours per day, accounting for 29 respondents (69.0%), and low back pain complaints, accounting for 25 respondents (59.5%). Statistical analysis showed a significant relationship between sitting position and low back pain complaints (p-value=0.008), as well as sitting duration and low back pain complaints (p-value=0.012). In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between sitting position and sitting duration with low back pain complaints among administrative office staff at PTPN IV Regional II Dolok Ilir in 2026. | 1 |
