Abstract Workload is one of the factors affecting teachers' job satisfaction. Besides teaching, teachers are responsible for administrative duties and additional school tasks that may increase their workload. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between workload and job satisfaction among teachers at MTs Nurul Huda, Medan Johor District, Medan City, in 2026. This quantitative analytical observational study employed a cross-sectional design. The population consisted of 30 teachers, all of whom were selected using the total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis and the Chi-Square test. The findings showed that 63.3% of respondents experienced a heavy workload, while 53.3% were dissatisfied with their jobs. The Chi-Square test produced a p-value of 0.007 (p<0.05), indicating a significant relationship between workload and job satisfaction. The higher the teachers' workload, the lower their job satisfaction. Therefore, schools are expected to manage teachers' workload more proportionally to improve job satisfaction. Keywords: Workload, job satisfaction, teachers. 1
