| Abstract | Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem affecting toddlers that impacts physical growth, cognitive development, health, and the quality of human resources in the future. Data from Puskesmas Matiti indicated an increase in the number of stunted toddlers from 70 in July 2025 to 93 in October 2025. This trend highlights the need to identify the dominant factors associated with stunting. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between nutritional intake, maternal attitudes, maternal knowledge, and maternal education with the incidence of stunting among toddlers at Puskesmas Matiti Doloksanggul in 2025. This study employed a quantitative analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of all toddlers aged 12–59 months within the Puskesmas Matiti Doloksanggul service area (n = 378), with a sample of 80 respondents selected through simple random sampling. Primary data were collected using questionnaires and height-for-age measurements. Data analysis was conducted using univariate, bivariate (chi-square test), and multivariate analysis (multiple logistic regression). The results revealed significant associations between nutritional intake (p = 0.013; RP = 3.215), maternal attitudes (p = 0.000; RP = 5.833), maternal knowledge (p = 0.003; RP = 4.101), and maternal education (p = 0.004; RP = 4.050) with stunting incidence. Multivariate analysis identified maternal attitude as the most dominant factor (p = 0.000; Exp(B) = 5.833; 95% CI = 2.197–15.490), indicating that toddlers with mothers who have negative attitudes are 5.8 times more likely to experience stunting than those with mothers who have positive attitudes. In conclusion, nutritional intake, maternal attitudes, knowledge, and education are significantly related to stunting in toddlers, with maternal attitude being the dominant factor. It is recommended that health authorities enhance nutritional education, family counseling, posyandu monitoring, and supplementary feeding programs to prevent stunting.
