| Abstract | Background : Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a primary prevention effort to protect health workers from workplace hazards. However, the level of PPE compliance at RSUD Dr. Tengku Mansyur is still low. Factors suspected to influence compliance are education, knowledge, attitude, and staff action. Objective: To analyze the relationship between education, knowledge, attitude, and action with PPE compliance among outpatient staff at RSUD Dr. Tengku Mansyur Tanjungbalai City in 2025. Methods: This study used an observational analytic design with a cross-sectional approach. The population and sample consisted of 50 outpatient staff selected using total sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using the ChiSquare test. Results: Of the 50 respondents, 76.0% had poor PPE compliance and 24.0% were compliant. Statistical tests showed a significant relationship between education p=0.023; PR=3.60, knowledge p=0.047, attitude p=0.016; PR=7.33, and action p<0.001; PR=16.50 with PPE compliance. The action variable was the most dominant factor. Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between education, knowledge, attitude, and action with PPE compliance. Efforts to increase compliance should focus on strengthening actions through PPE provision, training, and routine supervision. Keywords: PPE Compliance, Education, Knowledge, Attitude, Action | 1 |
