| Abstract | The pumpkin leaves (Cucurbita moschata Duchesne) contain alkaloids, flavonoids, tannins, saponins and steroids, which are capable of inhibiting bacterial activity. The ethanol extract of pumpkin leaves was tested against Staphylococcus aureus at concentrations of 20%, 30% and 40%. This study used an experimental method by conducting tests on the physical evaluation parameters of the face spray preparation. The physical evaluation included organoleptic tests, homogeneity tests, pH tests and viscosity tests. The results of the physical evaluation of the face spray preparation from the ethanol extract of pumpkin leaves at concentrations of 20%, 30% and 40% met the required criteria. The result showed that all face spray formulation met the established quality evaluation parameters and exhibited antibacterial activity against the tested bacteria. The antibacterial testing of the face spray preparation from the ethanol extract of pumpkin leaves showed significant inhibition of Staphylococcus aureus growth, with average inhibition zone diameters of 13.3 mm, 14.1 mm and 18.0 mm, categorized as having a strong inhibitory effect.A | 1 |
