Abstract The tailoring service business is a strategic type of informal MSME, yet it demands concentration, precision, and a static sitting posture for extended periods. Non-ergonomic daily activities, such as hunched posture, repetitive hand movements, and compressed working hours to meet fast fashion targets, can trigger neuromuscular fatigue and Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs), threatening workers' quality of life and economic sustainability. This quantitative, observational analytic study used a cross-sectional design to analyze the relationship between work posture, working duration, and physical workload with Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) complaints among 55 tailor respondents in Deli Tua District in 2026. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and SNI 9011:2021-based questionnaires, then analyzed bivariately using the Chi-Square test. Results showed statistically significant relationships across all three variables. Work posture yielded a p-value of 0.000, with most tailors in the poor-posture category experiencing high Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) risk (34 people, 91.9%). Physical workload yielded a p-value of 0.003, with high-level complaints reaching 28 respondents (90.3%) in the heavy workload category. Working duration yielded a p-value of 0.000, with a unique finding that high-level complaints were dominated by the low working-duration group (87.5%, 35 people). In conclusion, there is a significant relationship between work posture, working duration, and physical workload with Work-Related Musculoskeletal Disorders (WMSDs) complaints among tailors in Deli Tua District in 2026. High complaint levels are dominated by non-ergonomic workstations, frequent repetitive movements, and physical rushing without micro-breaks due to a target-chasing production system 1
