| Abstract | The globalization of health has increased and caused changes in lifestyle and behavior of society. One of the non-communicable diseases that has attracted much attention is diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus is a chronic degenerative disease caused by damage to the pancreas gland as a producer of insulin hormone with symptoms of increased sugar in the blood. One of the programs implemented in the Community Health Center for early detection of non-communicable diseases is the Integrated Development Post (Posbindu) program. This study aims to Analyze the Effect of Diet and Medication Compliance Levels on Blood Sugar Levels in Prolanis Diabetes Mellitus Type II Participants at the Pinangsori Community Health Center, Pinangsori District, Central Tapanuli Regency in 2025. The type of research used is quantitative research with a Cross-Sectional approach. This research will be conducted in the Working Area of the Pinangsori Community Health Center, Pinangsori District, Central Tapanuli Regency and the research period is from October 2025 to February 2026. The number of samples in this study is 65 respondents. The sampling method used is the Slovin formula. Bivariate analysis revealed that age, education level, smoking, alcohol consumption, and family history of the disease influence blood sugar levels among participants in the Prolanis Type II Diabetes Mellitus program at the Pinangsori Community Health Center, Pinangsori District, Central Tapanuli Regency, in 2025. Age was the most dominant variable influencing adherence to diet and medication on blood sugar levels among participants in the Prolanis Type II Diabetes Mellitus program. As age increases, the body's physiological functions decline, causing insulin to work less optimally, resulting in high blood sugar levels. The Pinangsori Community Health Center should improve diabetes mellitus management efforts by optimizing education activities regarding diabetes mellitus management. | 1 |
