Abstract The digitalization of healthcare services requires prospective medical records and health information professionals to possess knowledge, skills, and psychological readiness to adapt to changes in the workplace. Self-confidence is one aspect associated with students’ readiness to enter the workforce. This study aimed to determine the relationship between self-confidence and work readiness in the era of healthcare digitalization among final-year students of the Diploma III Medical Records and Health Information Program at STIKes Sihat Beurata Banda Aceh in 2026. This study employed a quantitative correlational design with a cross- sectional approach. The population comprised all 42 final-year students, who were recruited using total sampling. Data were collected from May 18 to July 31, 2026, using a questionnaire consisting of 20 self-confidence items and 20 work readiness items, rated on a five-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with Spearman’s rank correlation test at a significance level of α = 0.05. The results showed that 23 respondents (54.8%) had good self-confidence and 19 respondents (45.2%) had moderate self-confidence. Regarding work readiness, 27 respondents (64.3%) were in the good category and 15 respondents (35.7%) were in the moderate category. No respondents were in the low category for either variable. The correlation test revealed a statistically significant, positive, and strong relationship between self-confidence and work readiness (rs = 0.633; p < 0.001). The study concluded that higher self-confidence was associated with greater work readiness in the era of healthcare digitalization. Educational institutions are advised to strengthen students’ self-confidence through public speaking training, participation in student organizations, and workplace simulations. Students are encouraged to actively develop their self-confidence and improve their knowledge and skills in digital health information management. 1
