| Abstract | This study aims to examine the implementation of Electronic Medical Records in relation to the effectiveness of outpatient services at the H.A.H. Hasan Community Health Center (Puskesmas) in Binjai City in 2026. This study employed a quantitative research method with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of 33 healthcare workers who used the Electronic Medical Record system at UPTD H.A.H Hasan Community Health Center. A total sampling technique was applied, in which all members of the population were included as research participants. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through univariate and bivariate analyses using the Chi-Square test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The findings showed that the implementation of Electronic Medical Records was categorized as good by 23 respondents (69.7%), while the effectiveness of outpatient services was categorized as moderate by 19 respondents (57.6%). The Chi-Square test produced a p-value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), indicating a statistically significant relationship between the implementation of Electronic Medical Records and the effectiveness of outpatient services. Effective implementation of Electronic Medical Records contributes to improved outpatient services by facilitating patient data access, accelerating documentation processes, and enhancing the accuracy and security of health information. Nevertheless, service effectiveness is also influenced by other factors, including internet connectivity, healthcare workers' competencies, and the availability of supporting technological infrastructure. There is a statistically significant relationship between the implementation of Electronic Medical Records and the effectiveness of outpatient services at UPTD H.A.H Hasan Community Health Center, Binjai City, in 2026. Better implementation of Electronic Medical Records is associated with greater effectiveness of outpatient healthcare services. | 1 |
