| Abstract | The implementation of a Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) supports integrated data management and healthcare service processes, including patient registration. The effectiveness of an HMIS can be influenced by the state of the application, the availability of network infrastructure and computer hardware, and organizational support. These factors may, in turn, affect the workload of staff at the Outpatient Registration Unit. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the implementation of an HMIS and the workload of staff at the Outpatient Registration Unit of Dr. H. Yulidin Away Regional General Hospital (RSUD) in Tapaktuan. The study employs a quantitative approach with a correlational design and a cross-sectional data collection method. The study population consists of 30 staff members, with 15 individuals selected as respondents via simple random sampling. The implementation of the HMIS was assessed using 20 items based on the HOT-Fit model, covering the dimensions of Human, Organization, Technology, and Net Benefit. Meanwhile, workload was evaluated using 15 statements covering aspects of time, mental, and psychological demands. Data analysis included univariate and bivariate methods, with the relationship between variables tested using the Spearman Rank correlation test. The results indicate that 11 respondents (73.3%) rated the HMIS implementation as "good," while 9 respondents (60.0%) reported a "low" workload. Regarding the HMIS implementation, the "Technology" dimension yielded the highest mean score (19.33), followed by the "Organization" dimension (18.40). Within the workload variable, the "mental demand" aspect recorded the highest mean score (14.73). The Spearman Rank test yielded a correlation coefficient of -0.775 with a p-value of 0.001, indicating a strong, significant, negative correlation between the implementation of the HMIS and the workload of staff at the Outpatient Registration Unit. Thus, improving the quality of the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) implementation is linked to a lower workload for outpatient registration (TPPRJ) staff. Hospitals need to maintain and enhance network stability, equipment availability, staff training, and technical support to facilitate the use of the SIMRS. | 1 |
