| Abstract | ABSTRACT Electronic Medical Records (EMR) use information technology to support the effectiveness, efficiency, and quality of healthcare services. This article describes EMR use in improving outpatient registration services at Ketol Public Health Center, Aceh Tengah, based on the 5M management elements: Man, Money, Method, Machine, and Material. The thesis describes a descriptive qualitative approach. Six informants are reported: one head of medical records as the key informant and five outpatient registration officers as main informants. Data collection is described as structured interviews and direct observation; the methods section also mentions questionnaires and technique triangulation. Findings indicate that staff have adequate skills in operating EMR, although regular training and workload adjustment remain necessary. Operational funding is available, while ongoing maintenance and equipment upgrades require continued support. Standard operating procedures help structure the registration workflow. Computers are considered adequate, but unstable internet connectivity sometimes disrupts data processing. Patient data are managed electronically with restricted access, reducing paper use, although a limited hybrid process remains in place. Overall, EMR supports service speed, recording accuracy, workflow efficiency, and patient satisfaction. | 1 |
