| Abstract | NURUL AKMAL. 2026. The Relationship between Doctors’ Knowledge and Attitudes and the Completeness of Medical Resumes at Aceh Mental Hospital in 2026. Undergraduate Thesis. Applied Bachelor’s Study Program in Health Information Management, Faculty of Public Health, Deli Husada Deli Tua Institute of Health. The completeness of medical resumes is an important component of clinical documentation quality because it supports continuity of care, communication among healthcare professionals, clinical decision-making, and the availability of quality health information. Preliminary observations at Aceh Mental Hospital indicated that some medical resumes were not completely filled out. This condition indicates the need to examine factors associated with the completeness of clinical documentation, particularly doctors’ knowledge and attitudes. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between doctors’ knowledge and attitudes and the completeness of medical resumes at Aceh Mental Hospital in 2026.This study employed an analytical quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The study population consisted of all doctors authorized to complete medical resumes at Aceh Mental Hospital, totaling 20 doctors, all of whom were included using a total sampling technique. Data on doctors’ knowledge and attitudes were collected using questionnaires, while the completeness of medical resumes was assessed through an audit of 80 medical resume documents using a checklist consisting of 15 components. The relationships between variables were analyzed using Fisher’s Exact Test at a significance level of α = 0.05.Most doctors had a good level of knowledge, with 11 respondents (55.0%), while 9 respondents (45.0%) had a moderate level of knowledge. Regarding attitudes, 12 doctors (60.0%) had negative attitudes, while 8 doctors (40.0%) had positive attitudes. The assessment of medical resume completeness showed that 6 doctors (30.0%) had complete medical resumes, whereas 14 doctors (70.0%) had incomplete medical resumes. Fisher’s Exact Test showed a significant relationship between doctors’ knowledge and the completeness of medical resumes, with a p-value of 0.014 (p < 0.05). A significant relationship was also found between doctors’ attitudes and the completeness of medical resumes, with a p-value of 0.018 (p < 0.05). Doctors’ knowledge and attitudes were significantly associated with the completeness of medical resumes at Aceh Mental Hospital in 2026. Improving the quality of clinical documentation requires strengthening doctors’ knowledge, fostering professional attitudes, and optimizing medical record governance and regular auditing. | 1 |
