| Abstract | System evaluation regarding the operation of the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) is essential for quality improvement and the development of an efficient, effective system, aiming to enhance information system performance in terms of speed and accuracy. Evaluation represents a concrete effort to determine the actual state of an information system's operation. This study aims to evaluate the successful implementation of the SIMRS at Tora Belo Hospital, Sigi Regency, using the HOT-FIT method, specifically to: (1) understand the application of the SIMRS using the HOT-FIT method, and (2) evaluate the success of the SIMRS at Tora Belo Hospital. A qualitative research method was employed—an approach involving the study of a group of subjects to gain insight into phenomena (including health-related ones) occurring within a specific population. Regarding the SIMRS at Tora Belo Regional General Hospital (RSUD), it is concluded that the system was implemented in 2020. The findings are as follows: (1) Human aspect: training has been provided to IT staff, although some have not received formal training on the SIMRS application, relying instead on guidance from senior colleagues for operational procedures; (2) Organization aspect: management has provided significant support, covering maintenance, funding, and the necessary facilities for the SIMRS; (3) Technology aspect: system security is assured, as each staff member has a unique username and password. Service quality is high, supported by adequate hardware; IT staff respond quickly to issues such as internet connectivity problems or server disruptions affecting the SIMRS application; (4) Net benefit: the SIMRS is highly beneficial and facilitates patient care, particularly by reducing patient overcrowding.
