| Abstract | Electronic medical records is a digital version of a document containing a patient's identity, examination history, treatments, and medical procedures, that using information technology. As a component of healthcare services, electronic medical records must meet the World Health Organization's (WHO) seven dimensions of quality, such as effectiveness, safety, patient-centeredness, timeliness, efficiency, equity, and integration. The researcher prepares a study to examine the role of electronic medical records in healthcare service quality through a literature review. The method that the researcher used is narrative review, a method to assessment, identification, analysis, and summarization of existing literature. The literature reviewed covers the period from 2016 to 2025. Searching machine that the researcher used are Google Scholar and PubMed, using keywords related to the role of electronic medical records in healthcare service quality. The researcher identified 13 relevant scientific literatures, that is 9 national literatures and 4 international literatures. The results of this study is electronic medical records play a role in enhancing healthcare service quality. Electronic medical records contribute to the seven quality dimensions, such as effectiveness, safety, patient-centeredness, timeliness, efficiency, equity, and integration. All of them consequently help improve patient satisfaction with healthcare facilities. | 1 |
