| Abstract | Low Back Pain (LBP) is one of the musculoskeletal disorders that is often experienced by workers with heavy physical activity and non-ergonomic work postures, including gambir processing farmers. The gambir molding process that is still done manually requires farmers to work in a bent or squatting position for a relatively long time so that it has the potential to increase the risk of LBP. This research aims to find out the relationship between working time and Low Back Pain (LBP) complaints in gambir processing farmers in Central Kaban Village, Pakpak Bharat Regency in 2026. This research is a quantitative research with an observational analytical design using a cross-sectional approach. The research population consists of 254 gambir processing farmers, with a sample of 72 respondents selected using accidental sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire, then analyzed univariately and bivariately using the Chi-Square test with a confidence level of 95% (α=0.05). The results of the study showed that most of the respondents worked more than 5 hours per day (65,3%) and experienced severe Low Back Pain complaints (61,1%). The results of the Chi-Square test showed p-value = 0.002 (p<0,05), so there was a significant relationship between the length of work and Low Back Pain complaints in gambir processing farmers. The longer the duration of the work is done, the higher the risk of Low Back Pain complaints due to the static workload received by the muscles and spine. It is recommended to farmers to manage the duration of work, make optimal use of rest time, stretch muscles periodically, and apply an ergonomic working position to reduce the risk of Low Back Pain.
