| Abstract | Burnout is a condition of physical, emotional, and mental exhaustion that negatively affects nursing performance and quality of care. This study aimed to analyze the factors associated with burnout among inpatient nurses at RSUD dr. Tengku Mansyur, Tanjungbalai City, in 2026. A quantitative method with an observational analytic design and cross-sectional approach was used. The study population consisted of all inpatient nurses at the hospital, and a total sampling technique yielded a sample of 95 respondents. Data were collected through questionnaire distribution. Univariate and bivariate analyses were conducted using the Chi-Square test at a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). This study showed that 49.5% of respondents experienced high burnout. Bivariate analysis revealed significant associations between burnout and length of service (p = 0.000), workload (p = 0.000), and reward (p = 0.000). Work shift was not significantly associated with burnout (p = 0.115). Workload was identified as the most dominant factor based on the highest Pearson Chi-Square value (79.807). In conclusion, length of service, workload, and reward are significantly associated with inpatient nurse burnout. The hospital is recommended to evaluate workload distribution, improve the reward system, and provide special attention to nurses with more than 3 years of service to prevent burnout. | 1 |
